Yres (a product of Plainwater B.V.) respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This statement explains which data we process when you visit our website or contact us, for what purpose, and what rights you have.

• Contact details you enter yourself in a demo or contact form: name, email address, phone number, organisation and the content of your message. • Data from correspondence when you email or call us. • Technical data when you visit the website: IP address, browser type, device and browsing behaviour on our site. • The queries you enter in our AI source finder (Source Finder).
We process your data to: • handle your demo request or question (basis: performance of, or steps towards, a contract); • stay in touch with you and keep you informed (basis: consent or legitimate interest); • improve and secure our website and services (basis: legitimate interest); • comply with legal obligations (basis: legal obligation). We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal effects.
An important distinction applies for our customers. The data processed inside the Yres platform stays within the customer's own Azure tenant by default and does not leave that environment. For that processing Yres acts as a data processor, and we record the arrangements in a data processing agreement. This privacy statement concerns the personal data we process as a controller — such as website visitors and prospects — not the data inside customer environments.
Our website uses cookies and similar techniques. Functional cookies are needed for the site to work. In addition, we use analytics and marketing cookies via Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads to measure how the site is used and improve our campaigns. These are only placed where permitted; you can always refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings.
We never sell your data. We do engage carefully selected service providers that process data on our behalf, including: • Microsoft (Azure hosting and Outlook Bookings for scheduling appointments); • Google (Analytics and Ads); • Anthropic (the AI behind our Source Finder); • LinkedIn (advertising and our company page). Where required, we conclude data processing agreements with these parties.
Some of our service providers (such as Google and Anthropic) process data (partly) outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In those cases we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We retain request and contact data for as long as needed for follow-up and, where applicable, the duration of our collaboration, plus the statutory retention periods. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of our analytics tools.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing, including encrypted connections, access controls and the security standards of the Microsoft Azure platform.
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request to info@yres.app; we will respond within the statutory period. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
We may update this privacy statement from time to time, for example when we add new services or when legislation changes. The most recent version is always available on this page, so please check it regularly.
